Upcoming: Beeswax Making Event

Good Morning Green Initiative,

I hope everyone had a spooky and candy-filled Halloween and is ready for the upcoming festive season! As we proceed into November, I’m sure many of you have noticed the unexpectedly warm weather lingering around. While sunny days can feel pleasant, they also serve as an important reminder of the larger shifts our planet is experiencing due to global warming.

As students, here are some actionable ways we can make a positive impact 🌿✨

  1. Mind Your Energy Use: unplug electronic devices when not in use and switch to energy-efficient appliances

  2. Choose Greener Commutes: opt for walking, biking, or using the BlazerExpress

  3. Support Reforestation: plant a tree or support organizations working to restore forests and greenery

  4. Advocate & Educate: engage in conversations about sustainability, spread awareness, and encourage friends and family to adopt eco-friendly habits

Another way to make a positive impact is by joining us on November 20th to repurpose clothing items into reusable beeswax wraps. Instead of plastic and Ziploc bags, you can pack your lunches with these reusable wraps!

We are collaborating with the Honors College and Blazer Theatre Organization, so 🐝 sure to bring all your friends!
