Happy Tuesday Green Initiative!

I hope everyone had a great New Years and has been able to stay warm in this chaotic Birmingham weather!

Green Initiative is back in action for 2024 🥳 we had our first event two weeks ago with some delicious pastries and a semi-intense game of environmental trivia; we may have spent a half hour running investigations on each another to find the impostor, thanks to Gimkit and its ‘Trust No One’ gameplay mode :)

If you missed our welcome back event however, don’t be too heartbroken — we are back with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at UAB (IG: @uab_swe) TOMORROW at 5 pm in Hoehn 121 (if you don’t know where this is, check out the map below!).

Bridgette Colber, a UAB Engineering alumni, will be joining us to speak about their experience in First Solar, a solar technology company with a local facility in Trinity, AL. So, if you’re interested in exploring environmental engineering opportunities and/or curious about solar power in Alabama (or just want to support us and SWE), please stop by!
